FlareLodge is a small, independent workshop of free online tools — a warm place to stop by, get a quick answer and get on with your day. Every tool runs in your browser, needs no account and keeps what you type on your device. FlareLodge is part of the FlareForge project.
Our first toolbox is calculators for everyday money and health questions: what a mortgage will cost each month, how long a credit card will take to pay off, how many calories you burn in a day. More kinds of tools will join them over time, built to the same standard.
We build every tool around three rules:
- Fast. Pages are plain static HTML with a tiny script for the tool. Results update as you type.
- Accurate. Each calculator formula is a separate, unit-tested module. Tests include examples published by government agencies, standards bodies and textbooks, and money is rounded to the cent the way lenders do it.
- Clear. Every page explains your result in words, shows the formula and its sources, and walks through two examples.
We do not ask for an account or an email address, and calculations run entirely on your device. The site is supported by a small number of clearly labeled ads, never placed above or inside a tool.
